Well I've officially started working again. I"m not going to lie it took some getting use to seeing as I haven't done anything military in over a month. The command seems really cool so I"m excited about that. For the first time in my military career I have my own desk! It's weird not having to share one with about 5 other people. The only down side is the gut that had it before me was messy so I've used some of my downtime at work cleaning it up.
One thing I'm glad about this command is that PT is a group thing and it's mandatory every Sun Tue and Thur so that means I'll be back in shape in no time (yeah that's right folks I didn't so much as raise a finger when I was at home). For some reason I always get stuck with the muscle heads and boy they are hard core. When I was in MS the folks there were more worried about running so that's all I did for 8 months, these guys however are worried about the full spectrum which isn't something I've had to put up with since I was in San Diego.
The heat here is out of control! I have never sweated so much just walking a mile in my entire life! It's getting to the point that I'm probably just going to shave my head and be done with it!
I"m thinking that I"m going to buy a new computer because this lap top is acting up. I want to be able to use my webcam when I skype and well it only works half the time and the microphone on this thing went out as well. I'll just take another college class and then write off the new computer on my taxes ;).
The protest here in Bahrain have somewhat calmed down. They never really made it to where I'm at. The base however is still on high aleret so that means as soon as I get off from work I have to go back to my hotel and stay there til the next work day. I was kinda upset when I found out that they tore down the Pearl Monument because it was one of the few things I wanted to see while I was here. Apperantly in my Indoc class we get to go to the Grand Mosque which is the largest in the area. I think it will be pretty interesting but we shall see.
