The tittle says it all! When I bought my iphone I was told that it would work over seas and that it would use my min and rollover min that I had accumlilated, well the sales person lied to me!
I just got off the phone with Att and was informed that I would have to enroll into an international plan and this is what it all boiled down to:
Phone calls: 5.99 for the plan and then 2.49 a min
Texting: 50 outgoing text and 100 incoming
Data plan: 20mb (meaning you could log onto face book once every three days) 24.99. The plan that would of matched my last months use of 500mb was 699.99 (that's right 700 bucks!)
Even canceling my unlimited texts and dropping all my other plans to the bare min was going to cost me 153 a month.
This is what gets me, ATT doesn't even have a military plan like most companies do, and when I called to see if there was something they were willing to do they told me "Sorry I can't help you with that". I replied with "Well this is what it boils down to, do you want to make money off of me or have me cancel my plan". Of course there was nothing they were willing to do so my iphone and service has been cancelled.
Personally I WILL never use ATT again. It seems that the entire time I've been with them it's been one thing after another. Also I'm currently in the process of emailing the president of the company (tht's the only thing I was able to get out of customer service and who knows if it's even correct).
